Fianna Fáil General Election candidate for Kerry Councillor Norma Moriarty has questioned the detail of the
proposals announced in the budget on childcare, warning that the Government has made a number of claims that the small print simply does not stand up.
Fianna Fáil general election in Kerry Norma Moriarty has called on the Government to extend the deadline for applications for the water grant. Irish Water is being inundated with calls from members of the public trying to apply before the October 8th deadline.
Cllr Norma Moriarty says the development is another chapter in the never ending mess that is Irish Water.The Department of Social Protection is currently writing to households telling them that they can now apply for the conservation grant.Cllr Moriarty says the State is already €800m worse off because of the setting up of Irish Water and the government is now introducing a new charge that will cost them money.

Kerry Fianna Fáil election candidate Norma Moriarty has said a new strategy is needed to help Kerry parents to manage the financial cliff that comes with back-to-school costs every September.
Cllr Norma Moriarty says they are causing undue delays in the transfer and treatment of patients.
Speaking at Kerry County Council’s June Meeting the Fianna Fáil Cllr spoke of an incident in Caherciveen recently when an ambulance couldn’t transport a patient to hospital because there was only one paramedic on duty.The incident occurred at a GAA match.
